10 Herbs to Grow a Medicine Garden

This fun medicine garden workshop will teach you to select, prepare and grow some medicine plants to begin a journey or add to your existing garden. Whether growing in a large suburban yard, small patio or balcony, you can grow medicine plants that can improve your health, nutrition and connect you with nature. Learn to select plants suited to your health and wellness goals, growing conditions and culinary taste preferences.

Discover how to plant and care for, harvest and use them at home. We will be exploring10 medicinal plants.

Each participant will select three of the plants, and plant the seeds in the workshop, to confidently grow and use at home.

In person only workshop. All materials included.

Your Instructor: Karen Clarke is a healer and teacher of varied traditions with a deep connection to nature and plants. Master herbalist, earning a degree from Green Wisdom School of Natural and Botanical Medicine in Alma, Wisconsin. Master Gardener and Master Naturalist. She is a garden consultant, garden designer and herbalist. She is a Siksika Blackfoot Medicine person and sacred pipe carrier. Reiki Practitioner and Master Healer. Teacher training with Billie Topa Tate at MSI in Evanston, and has studied with Billie Topa Tate since 2004. She studies traditional women’s medicine and TEK (traditional ecological knowledge) with Grandmother, Elder, Moonie kwe, Dbik Gii’ zhigate-kwe Anishinaabe-kwe from Ontario, Canada Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.
